Together in 6.01. Compare two cars from your existing TeslaMate server on one map: observed speeds, positions and the driving route between them. Choose your reference car, fit both cars in view, or focus on one. Available navigation data adds each car's destination and arrival estimate; road distance is not a straight-line gap or a promise of catching up.
Travelling with a friend? Cars on different TeslaMate servers can use Friend Together after both owners enable a compatible Companion and a dedicated secure sharing address. Each owner chooses the shared data and duration and confirms the recipient. Sharing stays optional and can be stopped; no Tesla account credentials or full server connection need to be shared.
My T 6.01 was released on September 11, 2026. Friend Together does not add background or Lock Screen trip sharing; both owners must set up and confirm sharing.

Connect a VPS you choose and deploy TeslaMate, TeslaMateAPI, Gateway and optional Companion. Tunnel verifies the Token before hostname setup; the email gate is optional. Friend Together uses a separate share address and still requires compatible services and explicit consent on both sides. App source stays private; product and support documentation are public.

My T is a read-only viewer. It does not ask for a vehicle-manufacturer account password or send vehicle commands. Optional push delivery processes only the minimum required data. With Friend Together in 6.01, only the recipient you confirm receives the data you choose, directly from your server. Precise positions and destinations can reveal private places—share only with someone you trust.
